On a no school snow day playing ball in the house I broke a fancy vase Instead of attempting repair with cartoon cow glue I found my father's hammer Smashed the shards enjoying the crack crack crack ceramic dust in my nose Just like humanity I could've restored the delicate beauty But I chose the thrill of destruction over my grandchildren's survival
